Salvation
We have all separated ourselves from God ...
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23
But He still loves us.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
So He has made a way for us to know Him!
"God demonstrates His own loves for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
All we have to do is believe ...
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved."
Romans 10:9
And receive His gift!
"[All are] justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:24

Greg Tomlinson
Greg grew up in the church. His maternal grandfather was an Assembly of God preacher. His paternal grandmother was the pianist at the Assembly of God church in Del Norte Colorado and was a woman committed to prayer. His family left Colorado for San Jose California when Greg was about 12 and the family left the church life.
Greg returned to the church after marrying his beautiful wife, Mary, and after the birth of their first child, Candice, when Greg was 26. Greg and Candice were baptized on the same day.
Greg first worked as an usher, then as a Sunday School teacher for 5th graders, then he worked in the Awana program at Sunrise Valley Baptist Church in San Jose.
When Greg and his family, wife Mary, daughter Candice, son Gregory, left San Jose to San Martin, they searched for a church to serve at in the Morgan Hill/Gilroy area. The Lord blessed them by leading them to Beth-El Baptist Church in Morgan Hill. A church where the preaching of Jesus Christ from the scriptures reigned supreme and sharing the love of Christ with all who came was their purpose.
At Beth-El, Greg served as a Sunday School teacher, usher, audio and broadcast technician.
In 2003, Greg began going to Western Seminary in San Jose. In 2005, Greg as ordained by the elders of Beth-El Baptist Church and he became an Associate Pastor, assisting Pastor Otero in the teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2004, Greg began teaching a Christian Apologetic's class called “Searching The Scriptures” in order to equip Christians with the tools necessary to answer people's questions about the Christian faith, and theology. Greg served as the Associate Pastor of Beth-El Baptist Church until 2018 when Pastor Gabriel Otero retired from the work of Gospel Ministry and entered into the presence of the Lord. Greg was called to be the Senior Pastor of Beth-El Baptist Church in October 2018.
As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Greg is committed to preaching from the scriptures the pure milk of the Word of God that those who hear might believe in Jesus and have their lives transformed by His spirit so that they might follow after Jesus. Greg continues to teach apologetics that he might be used of God to encourage Christians in their walk with Jesus and to provide answers about Christianity to those who do not believe.

Carl and Ruth Knott
Carl and Ruth studied Spanish with Mrs. Otero from the fall of 1983 to the spring of 1986 and were then sent to the mission field in Spain in May, 1986. They have 7 children, two married and with two daughter and a son.
Carl was a pilot and flight instructor in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-1980. He was born again while in pilot training, and after fulfilling his service commitment he left his childhood dream of flying in order to serve the Lord full time. He studied under William MacDonald and colabored with him from 1980 to 1986, teaching in a leadership training program at Fairhaven Bible Chapel in San Leandro, California. During this time he also took part in planting a new church in San Lorenzo, California. He is a missionary church planter, writer and leader who is gifted in discipling men and preparing them for leadership as elders in the local church in Spain and Central America. He started a publishing ministry in Spain, Editorial Discipulo, by means of which he translated and published books and put them in the hands of Spanish speaking Christians. This was left in the hands of the Spanish elders in the church in Huesca, men whom he trained and recognized as elders before moving on.
At the present time Carl and Ruth are serving in Sevilla, having received a call from that province to help in a small church there that is in need of edification, leadership training and encouragement. The Knotts also use hospitality to reach out to both believers and unbeliever. Ruth does personal work with interested women in the congregation. Carl started a monthly church bulletin which is a sort of mini-magazine with ministry articles, which is sent out to countries in Central and South America. It can be found online at http://asambleabetel.blogspot.com, or downloaded in PDF format from their website listed below. He shares the majority of the preaching and teaching with Lucas Batalla, his Spanish co-worker, and also visits the saints. In addition to this, he continues his ministry of writing and translating Christian material. He makes ministry trips to Central and South American countries to teach and to give leadership training. He writes articles that occasionally appear in magazines such as Missions, Uplook and Milk & Honey, and has written daily readings for a devotional calendar called Choice Gleanings for over 20 yrs. Our church took part in sending them out and has supported them all these years.
They can be reached through Beth-El Baptist Church of Morgan Hill or through San Ramon Valley Bible Church. They can also be reached by email at carlosdiscipulo@msn.com

Fred and Carol Lewis
Background
Fred and Carol have been missionaries since 1983. In Uganda, they ministered in different African languages. They learned Russian for ministry in Ukraine and Russia. Carol trained pastors’ wives at the Bible school Fred started in a remote area of Uganda. In Ukraine and Russia, she continued her discipleship and training ministry to single women and wives of church leaders. Fred was a teacher of Missiology and Bible at Bible Colleges in Ukraine and Russia.
Crisis in 2005
While living in Russia, Fred fell and fractured 4 vertebrae. Low bone density brought on by living in the low-light conditions of Ukraine and Russia was the underlying condition that permitted the fractures to occur. That lower bone density foreclosed the possibility of returning to live in the snow and ice of Western Siberia.
Recent Ministries
Carol counsels missionary women who have questions about their ministries and roles. As a lecturer in the Perspective Program, she teaches on culture stress, missionary care, and incarnational living. Mission organizations consult with Carol regarding language and culture-learning issues for out-going missionaries. She also works in INSIGHT at USCWM.
Fred continued his missions training ministry from 2007-2010 as Vice President for Academic Affairs at William Carey Int’l University, a division of USCWM. He is currently an Assistant Editor for the Int’l Journal of Frontier Missiology, a publication of USCWM. IJFM publishes academic articles relating to unsolved problems of frontier missions.
Organizational Affiliation
Since 1995 Fred and Carol have served under European Christian Mission. In 2007, ECM seconded the Lewises to the US Center for World Mission in Pasadena, CA.
